Ulrich is a Ph.D. candidate in the group for „Complex Dynamic systems“ since 2017. He is part of the team of the „CD Laboratory for model-based process control in the steel industry“ and works on MIMO control of a hot strip finishing mill train. His research interests include nonlinear control, MIMO control and control of time delay systems. Ulrich holds a Masters degree in Energy Systems and Automation Technology from TU Wien (2017). He did his master thesis „MIMO Shape Control of a Metal Strip Using Electromagnets“ at the group for „Complex Dynamic systems“. Ulrich spent one semester abroad at KTH where he focused on nonlinear control, observer design and power electronics.
