Robots go online during COVID-19

The RoboCoop project team of the Automation and Control Engineering Institute wants to awake children’s interest in MINT-disciplines. Therefore, school classes are welcome to get to know our robots. We want to show children how to program and design robots, in order to solve actual problems. Due to Covid-19 kids unfortunately cannot currently come to our Institute. We still want to bring together children and robots and so we shifted our project into the virtual space. Many schools already raised their levels of digital literacy and moved to distance learning. As well as the class of the vocational school of mechanical-, manufacturing engineering and electronics. The participants had the opportunity of immersing themselves in the world of robots. They worked on issues related to the COVID-19 pandemic by designing, programming and simulating robots. Other classes are happily invited to participate in the programme.
