On Decmeber 12, 2018, Dr. Ernst Csencsics was awarded the Dr. Ernst Fehrer prize for excellent technical research in the field of practical applications by the rectorate of TU Wien. At the Christian Doppler Labor „Precision Engineering for Automated Inline Metrology“ under the guidance of Prof. Georg Schitter, Ernst Csencsics has developed innovative scanning mirror systems, which allow to manipulate light and laser beams faster, more precise and with less energy effort than the state-of-the-art. The TU Vienna won the Imagine 18 Idea Marathon Prize with the Outreach of the Educational Robotics Team. Mariya Gabriel and Norbert Hofer hand over the prize.
The diploma thesis “Path Following Control of a Fixed Wing UAV based on Desired Accelerations”, authored by Dipl.-Ing. András Gálffy, and supervised by Dr. Martin Böck and Prof. Andreas Kugi, has been awarded the prize for excellent diploma thesis of the city of Vienna 2018.
