TU Wien ETIT Robotics Visit

During the visits at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology (ETIT), young people of different ages experience the meaning of technology and robotics adapted to their age group. One focus of this activity is the inclusion of all young people by empowering them to connect robotics to their interests and talents.

The visit starts with a robotics lecture where the class explores the words technology and robot. Different scenarios in which robot technology helps people are showcased. After the lecture and a short pause, the class splits into two groups. While one group explores the sensing and reacting of the Thymio robots to their environment, the other group enjoys an interactive Pepper robot demonstration. Then the two groups switch. The visit lasts about 2,5 hours and is designed for a school class of max. 30 students.

We offer this visit to all school classes starting from elementary school. We adapt the program for pre-school and higher secondary education level.
