Short Curriculum Vitae


Ernst is postdoctoral researcher in the Advanced Mechatronic Systems Lab at the Automation and Control Institute (ACIN) of TU Wien.

He received an MSc. and a PhD degree (Sub Auspiciis) in Electrical Engineering from TU Wien, Vienna, Austria in 2014 and 2017, respectively. His primary research interests are on opto-mechatronic measurement and imaging systems, the development of holistic methods for multidisciplinary design and integration of scanning systems, robot-based high precision inline measurement systems, high performance mechatronics and precision engineering.

He was awarded the journal best paper award of IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics (2018), the best student paper award at the American Control Conference (2016) and the Dr. Ernst Fehrer Preis of TU Wien (2019).
